History of Calvary Valve
In 1985, Jimmy Ray and his partners started Pipeline Valve Specialty in Houston Texas. The business model for Pipeline Valve Specialty was the remanufacturing of API6D Products, API6A Products, as well as Field Service work.
In January of 1992, Pipeline Valve Specialty was sold and the company went public. The company retained its name and Jimmy Ray remained on board as the general manager.
The business model was still remanufacturing of API6D Products, API6A Products, as well as Field Service work. In February of 2001, Pipeline Valve Specialty was again sold. Again the company retained its name and Jimmy Ray remained as the General Manager of the company. In February of 2002, Jimmy Ray hired several product engineers, and started began the development of API6D expanding and slab gate valves. Maverick International and owner Jerry Nelson was one of the top clients of these valves. Jerry Nelson became involved in this process to assist Pipeline Valve Specialty with the marketing of the products.
Other API 6D Products were successfully designed in the upcoming years. These designs incorporated features that had an advantage in the market place which helped accelerate the manufacturing and sales of these products. In 2003 the manufacturing of API6D and API6A Ball Valves and began. From 2004 until 2010 the manufacturing of Plug Valves, Swing Check Valves, Piston Check Valves, Butterfly Valves, Wafer Check Valves, and Expanding Plug Valves had begun. Pipeline Valve Specialty all the while remained the industry leader in the remanufacturing of API6D Products, API6A Products, and Field Service work
In spring of 2011, Pipeline Valve Specialty was once again sold and again the company retained its name as well as Jimmy Ray again remained as the General Manager. In the fall of 2012, Jimmy was advised that the new holding company was in negotiations to sell the company. That sale was completed in February of 2013.
In May of 2013, Jimmy Ray resigned to pursue other interests. On May 15, of 2013, having over 30 years of experience in the API6D Products, API6A Products, Field Service work, valve sales, valve repair, and proven new product designs, Jimmy Ray and Jerry Nelson, Jr. started Calvary Valve, Inc.
